American Mahjong is more than a tile game—it’s a social ritual filled with laughter, connection, and shared joy. From beautifully arranged tablescapes to the satisfying feel of each intricately designed tile, every detail adds to the experience. With every call of “One Bird Bam—CHEERS!” The game becomes a celebration. Wrapped in its own sense of etiquette and charm, Mahjong invites you to step away from life’s chaos and enter a warm, welcoming space where friendships—both old and new—flourish.

About

Meet Shea

I picked up my first Mahjong tiles three years ago and was hooked — the strategy, the gorgeous tiles and mats, and most of all, the people. Every game brought new friends who wanted to learn or just needed a table to join.

So I became a certified Oh My Mahjong instructor and started Chapel Hill Mahjong Club.

Today we play all over town — Chapel Hill, Pittsboro, and Chatham County — at restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, and co-working spaces. Whether you're brand new or looking for your next game, there's a seat for you.

Three ways to play:

Mahjong 101 — beginner lessons that get you playing in one session
Open Play — casual games for players of every level
Private Lessons & Events — birthdays, girls' night, team building, or hosting at your business

Shopping for tiles? I love Oh My Mahjong. Use code CH123 for 10% off.

Cheers!
